Echinacea, thanks to its immunostimulant properties, is one of the most sought after medicinal plants in the Italian phytotherapeutic landscape.
Echinacea The term echinacea commonly refers to roots, rhizome and aerial parts of certain plants originating in temperate areas of North America. Nine species belong to this genus, but only three of them are utilized for commercial purposes: Echinacea purpurea, Echinacea pallida and Echinacea angustifolia. The latter was used by the South Dakota Indians to heal wounds and treat syphilis and snake bites.
