Wallet is the new way to pay for goods and
services through your iPhone and it has been
neatly enhanced for iOS 9. Thanks to Apple
Pay, all of your essential store and reward cards are stored
digitally and now a simple double-click of the Home
button when your device is locked will allow you to
access Wallet and quickly and conveniently pay for items.
If you own an iPhone 6 or 6s then its built-in Near Field
Communication antenna means that you simply have
to hold your iPhone near to the contactless reader with
your finger on the Touch ID to pay for your goods – and
you don’t even have to look at your device while you
are doing it as a subtle vibration lets you know that the
transaction has been successful.
So it looks like the days of the wallet are numbered
as your iPhone 6 or 6s, with iOS 9 installed, successfully
chalks another item off of the list of things you never used
to leave home without. Whether an easier way to spend
money is necessarily a good thing, though…
